Our pricing structure includes a registration fee and a 10% placement fee per caregiver. We have multiple registration packages to meet your family's unique needs, including an option for a la carte referrals that skips the registration fee, but has an 18% placement fee per caregiver.
Since our network of caregivers are already pre-screened and ready to support families, we are usually able to connect you to a caregiver in as little as 2 weeks or less. Depending on your family's unique needs the process can take up to 6 weeks.
We work with an accredited national provider of FCRA-compliant background checks. Screenings include Social Security Number Trace, Address History, National Criminal Records, Sex Offender, Global Watchlist Check, FCRA Disclosure Tracking . We also verify professional references from families served outside of our network, and every caregiver is required to carry their own liability insurance.
Doulas provide informational, physical, and emotional support.
A doula is trained to support you. I support...
your choices, your body, your partner/mate, your labor, your birth, and your baby.
I serve as a resource to help you navigate this journey. I'll answer...
your questions, your emails, your text, my phone
I am a trusted ally that helps you learn to trust...
your body, your partner, your baby, your decisions, and the process.
Your friends and family are so important during this monumental time. They know and love you and they want the best for you. They are emotionally connected to you and sometimes those emotions cause them to try and influence your decisions based on their own experiences or what they feel would be best for you even if it's not what you want. Birth can be a very overwhelming and emotional event for your support system too, and they may need to step out for some air, have a meal or rest so they can support you better. A doula can make those much needed breaks easier to handle.
Birth is normal for a doula. I am that constant presence that supports you through the entire process, partner melt downs, and shift changes in the hospital. I want what you want. There is no judgement or biases regarding your choices. Unlike family and friends, I can take an "emotional step back" and focus on supporting your decisions and needs.
Studies show that having a doula can result in shorter labors, fewer interventions, a decreased risk of postpartum depression/anxiety, and an overall increase in positive birthing experiences.
No. Doulas and midwives are not one in the same. While doulas provide non-medical support and a constant presence through labor, birth and the postpartum period, we don't catch babies. Midwives are trained to provide medical care including exams and catching babies.
We are here to offer support at every stage of your journey. Our lactation support providers include Lactation Educators, Breastfeeding Peer Counselors, and International Board Certified Lactation Counselors ( IBCLC). Support is offered both in person, and virtually.
Tell us what you need, and we've got you covered. We can connect you to occasional sitters for date night or an kid free day of running errands, short or long term sitters, live-in or live out nannies, sibling support during the birth of a new baby, travel companions and more.
We understand that sometimes families and caregivers just aren't a good fit. We are committed to helping your family find the right support and we will find you a more suitable candidate as soon as we can.
